Utilizing the Google Maps application, we are designing walking experiences throughout communities to engage citizens in a more active lifestyle. All with the purpose to fight cardiovascular disease. By laying out each trail on a digital map, we are able to push each trail to any user with a smart device. This will also allow us to forgo the expensive and time consuming route of physically laying out each trail with physical wayfinding markers.
Download Google Maps on the your smart phone or tablet. From there, visit our Digital Maps page on your mobile device. Be sure to read our instructions and safe practices carefully before using the trails or applications. Never walk and look at your phone!
Read the entire "How It Works" page on our mobile website. This page will layout the necessary step by step instructions on how to begin walking any trail.
From there, locate our trails on the Digital Maps mobile webpage and select the trail you wish to use. If Google Maps is on your phone, the link will open the app and overlay the trail.
